On my way to a new me.... Hello and welcome to my weight loss journal. My name is Jenn. I am a happily married stay at home mom of 2. My daughter was born 03/04 and my son 01/05. As you can see they are very close And even though it feels as if all I do all day is chase them around, I still am at a much higher weight then I should be. As of January 3rd 2007 I decided to do something about it. The best part is.... is that I am not alone. My husband is also on his way to a new life. We both have a goal of 45 lbs wight loss. I am also trying to streangthen my core muscles to help with some herniated disks in my back. So I have started the work out video You on a Diet Beginners. I am doing that nightly Monday-Friday. I am also walking 30 mins on some nights.
Another thing I have changed is that I no longer eat after 8:30. So far this has not been a problem. I am mainly keeping this site up to keep myself on track, but if you happen to stop by feel free to take a look around. If you have any questions let me know. 
In all my research (I am a researcher at heart) about losing weight, the one thing I kept running across was how important water was. It claims drinking water will curve your appetite (yeah right) and boost your metabolism. Of course we all know the recommendation is 8 8oz glasses a day. So yesterday I was digging through my cupboards and ran across a large Tupperware measuring cup I have. It just so happens that it is 8 cups and has a lid. So I filled it up and put it in the fridge, thinking this is a good way to keep track... Well I got my 8 glasses in and then some.
Now I wake up today and have my usual coffee, but not my usual munchie to eat with it. Then of course we all know what happen with Richard Simmons. So I move on to the next task which is on the computer & next thing I know its after 1:00 and I have not eaten yet. So I grab a half of serving of my lazagna and a small salad. And that is it. That is all I've had so far today and its already 10 till 5:00 and hubby is due home at 5:15 which is when I start dinner. Of course I am drinking the water too.
So I don't know if today is just a fluke (cuz I could have ate the cupboards bare yesterday)or what, but I can't wait to see if I feel the same way tomorrow!!!
